So Others Can Survive (S.O.C.S.)

So Others Can Survive (S.O.C.S.) is a nonprofit organization that supports the homeless population in Indianapolis, IN. S.O.C.S. was started by a couple living outside of Plainfield, IN and they provide necessities such as clothing, underwear, socks, shoes, winter wear, hygiene products, first aid products, tents, blankets, pillows, flashlights, bug spray, and so much more. They operate solely on donations and fundraising, and they are hoping to eventually obtain a building where they can provide showers, laundry services (so the homeless can wash their clothes instead of throwing them away when they are too dirty to wear any longer), drinking water, a warming center, etc.

What I love about this organization, is that they’ve become friends with the homeless people in our city. They’ve given out their phone number, and people can reach out with any specific concerns or needs, and they do their best to accommodate them. They are truly a blessing to our community, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting their mission.
